Sometimes the trees are dead or present an excessive safety issue, sometimes they have outgrown their surroundings or are causing structural damage. Whatever the reason, I am always happy them from the mulch pile. One of the largest benefits of harvesting Urban species in the Bay Area is that I run into a lot of exotic or rare species that are not grown commercially. This is a large, straight Black Acacia.
